To believe or not to believe?

 If there be a God

                 Who plans and does not divulge.

                  Who wounds to be praised.

                  Who promises then equivocates.

                   Who dangles hope and demands resilience.

Is he more human than divine?

If there be a God

                   Who inflicts pain and then blesses us with strength 

                    Or seeing that we have faith inflicts more pain

                     Who allows weakness and also freewill

                     Who claims to protect and yet decieves to teach faith.

Isn't he less divine and more diabolic villain?

If there be a God...

A figment of collective human imagination.

An embodiment of a moral code to keep us civil.

A mental guard against the inconsistencies of life.

A habit that humanity can't unlearn.

If there be a God....are we not fools.. absolute fools?
